Visiting Warner Bros. Studio Tour - The Making of Harry Potter

As a fan of the Harry Potter series when I had heard about the Warner Bros. Harry Potter Studio Tour, it was definetly on my bucket list of places to visit.

And finally the day came!

Rather than travel all the way there for the day, we turned it into a fun weekend away with friends in London.

Secrets will be revealed so if you are planning on visiting the tour and do not want to know anything..yes, anything at all, then you may want to stop reading.

Watford

Based in Leavesden, outside Watford, the grounds used to be home to an airfield. Tickets state to arrive 20 mins earlier for the tour as it gets very busy with visitors. Also you need to book your tickets in advance on the website as they dont sell them at the door.

First part of the tour is the cinema experience where you get to watch a brief introduction to the magic of Harry Potter with clips from the films. This was nice particularly for people who may not be Harry Potter fans and may be accompanying others. Then afterwards, you are able to wander around the studio at your own pace and take photos.  Audio guide is optional and is an extra cost on top of  the tickets, it has loads of information, slideshows, videos and images on it.

We took around 5 hours so its worth considering the amount of time it may take you to get around everything - perhaps leave the day free to just visit the tour. We were told that the shortest time for someone to do the whole tour was 40 mins and the longest was 11 hours!

Don't forget to try some Butterbeer! Dont worry, kids can drink too, as there is no alcohol.

This is a snapshot as there were so many things and I'll try not to spoil the surprise too much!

Here are some tasty photos of the food from the weekend.

Hot rice bowl with assortment of vegetables and a fried egg on top. Love the colours!

We had an amazing weekend and I have to take my hat off to the production team on making Harry Potter you can really see how hard they all worked! The detail was just incredible! Thank you to my good friends Andy H and Andy W for taking the time out to take us for food in London. The weekend just wouldnt have been the same without you both!
